I don’t know about y’all, but I’m back in the office 100%. I can’t lie, it was a bit of a shock to see so many people in my building at one time, but nice to see that folks are still wearing masks and socially distancing themselves onsite. It’s taking a bit of getting used to, and we’re definitely lucky that we only have 4 people in our small office and we’re able to socially distance from each other. Plus we’ve brought a few things from home that have made transitioning back into the office full-time a bit easier and I wanted to share some of those tips with y’all today!
Coffee bar – If y’all are like me then your coffee setup at home is a bit better than your office one. My favorite brews in k-cup form, as well as all of my favorite syrups, milk frother and even a French Press and coffee grinder for when I buy actual beans like I did at a recent ‘Caffeine Crawl’. Treat yourselves and your co-workers by upgrading your setup.
Chair massager – I’m easing back into getting regular massages, but between them I want to make sure that I’m not too stiff or sore. This chair massager works wonders! I even have one for my feet for after I’ve done building inspections and it feels so good!
Air Pods – I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. This was probably the best purchase I made in 2020. Whether I’m hopping on conference calls (which we’re still taking in our respective parts of the office, #socialdistancing), listening to a podcast, or even listening to an audiobook or music I’m using my Air Pods every day! I have the first-generation ones and they work just fine!
Eat outside – Spring has officially sprung and the weather has been pretty decent in Houston for eating outside. We have these gorgeous outdoor patio spaces now and plenty of seating area and I plan on eating out there as often as possible and getting some much-needed vitamin D and fresh air.
It’s the little things that make this change easier, and I hope these tips help y’all!
