If you’re a fan of ‘The Read‘ like I am then you’ve heard Crissle & West say that phrase 50-11 times. It’s such a simple yet true statement that folks tend to not think about. She’s usually saying it when people are being reckless when their words, but it applies to so much in life.
Our words are powerful, and often times we don’t realize that we have the ability to either speak life or death into a situation. I used to have sticky notes on my mirrors around my apartment with daily affirmations, but I don’t anymore since I know most of my old favorites by heart and I’m constantly adding new ones as my life changes and progresses.
Whether you see it as positive vibes, manifesting, or just positive affirmations I’m 1000% on board with speaking life into yourself and situation. It’s one of the main reasons why I use affirmations all the time. One of them is “All is Well”. I learned it from one of my aunts and it’s one of those all-encompassing affirmations.
I was at Texas Southern’s homecoming this past Saturday and ran into a student with an ‘All is Well’ lapel pin and knew that I had to have it. I asked him where he got it from and he said that he got it from a guest lecture speaker so I bought it off him. It was fate, and that was the first time I’d seen an enamel pin with that phrase on it; it was truly the best $15 I’d spent in a while, and after doing some serious googling I found out that they can be purchased online here. So not only is it a great phrase, but your donation goes towards an even better cause.
What’s so great about an affirmation is that it can be as vague or as detailed as you need them to be. A good “all is well” affirmation can go a long way, and often does in various situations. In fact, it’s one of my favorite affirmations. I’d love to hear some of y’alls so please feel free to comment below or DM me and let me know some good ones!
