I’m back with another collaborative post for y’all! I’ll be touching on a topic that isn’t often discussed on too many blogs, money and how to make the topic less scary.
For most people, money is possible the least exciting part of life they can think of. Being the source of much of your stress, along with forcing you to spend huge amounts of time learning, this resource can be as much of a hindrance as it is a benefit. Of course, though, this could all be a lot better if you enjoyed working with it. To help you out with this, this post will be exploring some of the work which can be done to ensure that you are getting as much as possible out of your money, while having a little bit of fun in the process.
Make Some Games – It’s easy to fall into the trap of spending all of your money when your paycheck comes in, with life on the edge of your finances proving to be too tempting for most. Of course, when you’re going through this, it will be very hard to save money, and most people will find themselves feeling depressed about the situation. Overcoming this can be a simple matter of making your budgeting into a bit of a game. Whenever you’re able to save more than your goal for the week, you can reward yourself with something small. Not only will this help you to get on track, but it will instill a much stronger sense of the value of money.
Pick Good Rewards – The sorts of rewards you give yourself for good saving have to be chosen carefully. You can’t reward yourself by spending all of your savings, as this would make the whole thing pointless, and most people don’t want to go down this route. Instead, you should look for little things which offer entertainment. For those with very little to spare, something like a ticket from mLotto can be a great start, as they only cost a small amount, but give you the chance to win something massive. Alternatively, if you have more available, you could think about gigs, shows, and other memorable forms of entertainment to spend your money on.
Use Technology – Technology has long been heralded as the key to making human life as easy as possible, and there are a lot of companies out there with this goal in mind. When it comes to your money, it’s easy to find app after app which is designed to make saving and budgeting far easier. If you spend enough time researching and testing your options, you will find something which works for you. There are a lot of ideas floating around in this industry, and this makes it worth trying out as much as possible.
With all of this in mind, you should be feeling ready to start making your finances more fun. A lot of people struggle with this, finding it hard to know whether or not they are making the right choices with their money. Of course, though, you’re never on your own with something like this, and you can find help in all sorts of places.
