Okay, I have another Spotify playlist for y’all this week. I know that this is when I would usually share a podcast episode, but I posted them back to back the last two weeks. Plus, this is the playlist you NEED in your life, especially during Black History Month.
If you don’t know who Tracee Ellis Ross is, you’re missing out. She’s a great actress, comedian and one of Diana Ross’ daughters. She’s currently starring on ‘Black-ish’ as (Rain)Bow Johnson, the matriarch of the family and opposite of the hilarious Anthony Anderson. She was also on ‘Girlfriends’ for years! Tracee modeled for a bit, and grew up around music so when I saw her Instagram post a few days ago when she was talking about the playlist she curated for Apple Music and checked out what all made the cut I knew I had to replicate it on Spotify! Thank goodness all of the songs were available on both platforms!
This playlist is for the young and old, with tracks from Beyoncé, Childish Gambino, Stevie Wonder, Rihanna, Diana Ross, Bill Withers, Wale and even more! It’s full of Black excellence and the perfect soundtrack for the month. Mellow and up-tempo tracks to get you moving, there’s truly something on here for everyone! Take a listen below and let me know your favorite tracks!
