I’m off on another trip tomorrow and I need your help! I have a loose itinerary of what I want to do, but I found out yesterday that it’s a 60% chance of rain on one of the days we’re there. In fact, it’s supposed to rain on the day that I wanted to hit up all of the museums and monuments.
Yes, I’m going full tourist on this trip. Judge your momma, not me.
I already know that I want to go to the Smithsonian Museum of African-American History and Culture, National Postal Museum, the National Museum of the American Indian, The Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Gard, the Smithsonian American Art Museum & Renwick Gallery and the National Museum of African Art. I probably won’t be able to hit all of them, but these are the ones that I will focus on.
I also want to visit the MLK Jr. monument, Lincoln Memorial and Obama’s Whitehouse. Is this too much in a day? What do y’all think? And I know that it’ll be harder to do the outdoor spaces when it’s pouring down outside, so I might have to split the touristy stuff up into two days.
Then there’s the food. DC is known for their brunch scene so I definitely want to go to brunch on Saturday, but I need other restaurant suggestions for dinner one night. So help a girl out and drop your suggestions below!
