We’ve officially hit summer. Memorial Day has passed and pretty soon all of the kids will be out of school. It’s already been pretty warm around these parts, so I figured that now’s the best time for me to share my to-do list with y’all.
Travel – I feel like this is pretty much a no-brainer when it comes to me. I have a few trips planned this summer. A birthday trip, a few trips to NOLA and even a trip to NYC for Afropunk. As of now, I have at least one trip planned each month, and I’m loving it!
Swim – This is actually one of my favorite ways to exercise and stay cool so it’s nice to be able to do this more and more in these warmer months. My apartment is actually right by the pool in my complex so I will hit the pool early on Saturday mornings before the crowds come and get a good swim in. That or go to the pool at my gym.
Flirty 30 – I turn 30 this year. There are times that I can’t believe it and other times when I feel every bit of these 30 years. I’m planning a low-key trip to Aruba for that birthday and I’m looking to celebrating my birthday on a beautiful beach and exploring a new city. Last year’s birthday trip was a SUPER last minute trip to Atlanta and it was fun, but I want something a bit more relaxing…well as relaxing as I want it to be for my 30th birthday.
Read – I feel like audiobooks have become my new go-to for devouring new books. It’s easier for me to put one on while I’m working out or even doing stuff around the house and I’m able to multi-task. There are a TON of really good books dropping this year that I want to read, and audiobooks will help me get through that list. I’ll share that list with y’all soon!
Museums – There’s a new addition to the MFA that I need to visit as well as a bunch of new exhibits in other local museums.
Le Haute Paire – I haven’t neglected my baby, life just got in the way and wasn’t conducive to a regular recording schedule. That’s all changing this summer. Prepare to hear more of me and Tav this summer and please feel free to send me any questions or topics you’d like us to discuss. We’re all ears!
