I’m excited share this collaborative post with y’all about living a healthy life!
Weight loss is a really popular topic nowadays. Everyone’s exposed to those slim and fit models that we see in magazines, and if you’re used to seeing those glamorous pictures from a young age, then it probably becomes your definition of beauty. Beauty is, as cliche as it sounds, in the eye of the beholder and not everyone wants to have a thin and slim body. But if you don’t know any better, then you’d probably just follow what all your friends are doing and, in most cases, that’s probably what the celebrities and models are doing.
But is a life of fitness really for you? Here are some considerations to keep in mind that could help you decide what life you want to live.
Making Time for Fitness
Fitness isn’t something you can just add to your life out of the blue. It’s something you need to make time for and it’s something that requires sacrifice. You’re going to have to give up sleeping in and relaxing in bed, you’ll have to give up going out drinking and partying with your friends now and then, and you’ll also have to give up your personal leisure time for the sake of exercising and working out.
If you don’t think you’re capable of doing this, then a life of fitness might not be for you. Of course, there are interesting time-saving methods to help you overcome this issue. For example, you can burn fat fast with RPM class and high-intensity workouts are often better than long sessions of cardio for both building muscle and losing weight. If you’re able to dedicate at least a couple of hours each week, then you should see results. However, if there are other more important things in your life right now (such as your job, children or family) then fitness shouldn’t take priority if you can’t make time for it.
Diets Are Not Temporary
Dieting is not something you do for a few weeks or months then quit. Dieting requires you to make a complete switch with what you eat. For example, if you’re used to snacking on things at work, then dieting involves forever changing them to healthier alternatives. Essentially, if you hate the idea of eating salads or cutting out your favorite foods, then you won’t be able to stick with your new meal plans.
It’s good to note that even if you do decide to switch your diet, you can still treat yourself now and then. It’s fine to have takeout or sugar-loaded desserts, just don’t binge eat them on your cheat days.
Being Happy With Your Decisions
Ultimately, what fitness comes down to is how happy you are with your decisions. Everyone is different; some people love the idea of working out and building muscle, while others are content with their lives and will put fitness lower on their list of priorities. Whatever you do, you won’t achieve your goals by going halfway. If you want to become fitter, you need to be happy with the decisions you make and find motivation. However, if you feel like it will take away from your current life, then there’s no reason for you to go to the gym every other day just to make yourself miserable.
