Today’s post is another wanderlust collaboration!
If you are working from home and have some quiet this winter, you could schedule a well-deserved break from the office, and recharge your batteries. From ski trips to city breaks, there are plenty of offers out there before and after the holidays. Take advantage of flexible working and set off on a quest to discover new places and new skills you never thought you had. Here are the top winter destinations you should visit when you take a break in the cold months.
Lapland

You can get as far as Abisko in Sweden by train when you plan to visit Lapland. Apart from helping you get into the holiday spirit, you can also take part in the Arctic Circle ceremony, take a husky ride, and go ice fishing. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and get close to nature, Lapland has plenty of activities to offer, including snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
Copenhagen
If you arrive in Denmark in the winter months, you will find the statue of the Little Mermaid, plenty of museums, and visit the Kronborg Castle, where Shakespeare’s Hamlet is set. Admire the architecture and interior decor of the Christiansborg Castle, and do some shopping in the famous Stroget area, the longest pedestrian street in Europe.
British Peaks
If you love trekking and hiking, you can visit the remote peaks of Britain for a great winter holiday. Get a tour in Snowdon, Scafell Pike, and Ben Nevis, visit Wales, and the Peak District, and book a few bed and breakfast accommodation to experience the hospitality of the locals. Challenge yourself and climb the highest mountains, taste the food, and chill in the traditional mountain village pubs by the fireplace in the evenings.
Everest
If you would like to complete a big challenge, you might decide to trek to the Everest Base Camp. While you might need to take a fitness test and train for a couple of weeks, you will enjoy every minute of the trek. The best time to visit the Everest’s peaks is between September and December, and you can book your place online. Completing the everest base camp trek can be a life-changing experience, and will help you get a better perspective on the business issues you left behind.
Budapest
Budapest is full of life in the summer, and there are many tourists in the city. It is one of the best places to visit in Europe in the winter, as well. You can hide in the corner of a ruin pub, soak in one of the hot thermal SPAs, and even go skiing nearby. Budapest is charming in the winter; you can hire skates and go down the City Park Ice Rink or on the top of one of the shopping centers to have some fun on the ice.
