I was in Sephora this past Saturday and told my cousin that Christmas was coming a bit early for me, and she said that it’s totally okay because I deserved to treat myself. I didn’t think about it at the time, but she was right. I’ve been working really hard this year, both in my career and on this blog and it’s totally paying off. This was another one of those trips where I only went in for one thing, but ended up leaving with a few more so I figured I’d share my recent purchases with y’all in case you’re looking for any holiday gift recommendations.
ColourPop’s You Had Me At Hello Eyeshadow Palette – The ColourPop team knows what they’re doing when it comes to social media marketing. It only took like 2 days of this palette being promoted and like 5 different looks with it before I had it added to my cart. It’s a great palette for fall and winter, beauty berry and golden tones that match perfectly with each other and it’s dummy proof which is perfect for me. I got to play with a few looks this past week and I’m looking forward to creating a few more in the upcoming weeks!
ColourPop’s No Filter Concealer – I’d been on the fence about this product since they debuted it. They have a decent color selection, but I wasn’t sure if any of them would actually match me, so I held off but decided to pick up two shades when I placed the order for my eyeshadow palette. I found a few color matching tools and chose Deep Tan and Deep Golden. They were only $6 each so didn’t have much to lose if they didn’t match…but they did! The formula is so creamy, but quickly dries to a matte finish and it’s perfect! Deep Golden might be my go-to “no foundation” look. It just blends so well!
NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray – I’ve used this one before and I really liked it so I just snagged another bottle in a recent Amazon order. It sprays in a fine mist so a little bit goes a long way, and it’s true to its word, your makeup stays matte all day!
Fenty KillaWatt Highlighter Duo in ‘Ginger Binge/Moscow Mule’ – I picked up ‘Trophy Wife’ when I was in Barcelona, and I’d been looking for this duo in stores since. I love the yellow gold of ‘Trophy Wife’, but I knew that this rose gold would look AMAZING on me and I was not wrong. I picked up this duo on Saturday and I tried it out that night and it looked really good! This might become my go-to daily highlighter.
Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil – So this is what I actually went into Sephora for. I’d used the last of my previous brow pencil up and I’ve heard nothing but great things about this one so I wanted to give it a try. I got matched and the sales associate showed me how simple it was to use the pencil. Fingers crossed, lets hope this pencil is as easy to use as my last one.
Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette – I’ve been wanting this palette for a while now, but want to scoop it up until I saw it in person. I have the original Naked eyeshadow palette and even after using it on a regular basis I still haven’t hit pan. The colors are super pigmented and easy to mix, match and blend so I knew this ‘Heat’ palette would be the same. What really drew me to this new palette was the color scheme. I’m really loving amber-hued neutrals now so it’s perfect for me!
Sephora Favorites Lashstash – I’m at the tail end of my current mascara and am in the market for a new one and this sampler caught my eye. There are 7 deluxe sample sized mascaras in there as well as 2 full sized ones and a pair of lashes, and the price was great! This way I can throw a sample or two in my travel go bag and try out Urban Decay’s ‘Trouble Maker’ and see what all the good buzz is about.
