I’m excited share this collaborative post with y’all about one of my favorite things, vacations!
As we head deeper into the fall and the days begin to get darker, you might want to think about escaping the moody skies and heading off on a little holiday. If so there are plenty of places you can choose to visit but a dark horse that you might not have thought of could be Baltimore. Baltimore is a beautiful city in Maryland and if you’re looking for a lovely escape from woeful weather with great options for things to see and do this might be the place for you.
Check Out The Lantern Parade

As Halloween approaches, you’re probably in the mood for some spooks and thrills. If so, you might want to head to Baltimore for the seasonal lantern parade that runs through October. Here you’ll get to see some mystical, magical lights floating through the streets as well as some dazzling and delightful lantern displays.
Kids are sure to love this attraction if you’re travelling as a family, so make sure you go and check it out. You’ll see over 1000 colourful lanterns, and you’ll be amazed by the beautiful handmade lights that some kids in the area have created.
Or, if you’re in the mood for something more mature, there’s also a late night Halloween costume party for adults. Great fun will be had by all here, and you can bet you’ll see a fair few Wonder Womans!
Rent A Cosy Luxury Apartment In The City

Baltimore is a tourist haven and as such, there are plenty of wonderful places to stay. However, rather than getting a hotel room, consider instead renting a luxury apartment in the middle of the city. These apartments truly are stunning and if you do this, our advice would be to check that it does have a good heating system.. If you’re wondering how important this is at this time of year in Baltimore, this blog post: Live in Baltimore? 4 Things To Know About Your HVAC This Fall will give you a good idea. Plenty of Baltimore residents will tell you how lost they’d be without their own heating systems in place so make sure you look for this feature, even if you are only staying for a few days.
Why rent an apartment instead of staying in a hotel though? Well, it just feels a little more cosy, perfect for a mini getaway where you can still access the best home comforts, like prepping your own meals.
See The Brightest Festive Block In The United States
Of course, if you’re heading on a mini holiday nearer the end of fall, you can see the festive lights on display. Thousands go to view the lights at the end of November, and the displays are often truly spectacular. If you want to get into the holiday spirit early this year, 34th Street in Baltimore might be the place to be. It’s a little more quaint than NYC displays but just as dazzling. This blog post: 20 fall events under $20 in the Baltimore area will tell you more about that.
Have I convinced you to head to Baltimore for the fall season and a mini Vacation? I hope so because this is truly a wonderful place to visit.
