Drake dropped the curated playlist that is ‘More Life’ on Saturday and the world hasn’t been the same since.
Okay, maybe that’s a bit of a stretch but he did drop his highly anticipated project this weekend. I’ve heard mixed reviews on it, some people hating that it’s not a true album that there’s too many features and songs that he’s flat out not on and others love it. I fall somewhere in the middle.
Now first things first, this is not an album. I repeat, this is not a Drake album. It is a curated playlist, which is why some say that it’s all over the place. I disagree. It doesn’t tell a story like his previous albums, but then again it’s not supposed to.
‘More Life’ features artists that we know and love like PARTYNEXTDOOR, Kanye, Travis Scott and 2 Chainz, and introduces us to artists like Giggs and Jorja Smith. I had a few fast favorites, “Passionfruit”, “4422”, “Teenage Fever” and “Glow”. In fact, I had “Glow” on repeat for a while yesterday.
Take a listen below if you haven’t heard the project yet, and let me know what you think. Oh! And what’s y’all’s favorite Drake project? Mine’s is ‘Take Care’. Out of all of his mixtapes and studio albums that’s one that I can still listen to today top to bottom and not skip a track. Comment below or tweet me your favorite!
