I was introduced to the MAMBI and the Happy Planner last year by one of my best friends and it was one of the best purchases I made last year. I initially bought a few stickers and did some light weekly and monthly decoration. I use Google calendar too so the written one helps me keep an eye on what’s coming up in the near future (week, month) vs the next couple of days . It might seem redundant, but it works for me.
Well more recently I got into decorating my planner. I’m decorating the weekly overview in addition to the monthly one. I’ve pinned a few free stickers on Pinterest and one that kept coming up was My Planner Envy. It seemed like every other pin was hers so I decided to go check out her site. I fell through the rabbit hole and ended up saving dozens of her printable sheets. I was going to reach out to her and see what kind of sticker paper she used, but I found it one of her posts and decided to try the company out for myself. She recommended onlinelabels.com and I have to say that I agree with her recommendation. I was able to order 100 sheets of plain white label paper for $12.90, and it arrived in 3 business days! That was the cheapest I’d seen anywhere and their shipping was super fast. They had a coupon code for $5 off, so I was able to essentially get my order shipped to me for free but even if I didn’t use the code it still would’ve been the best deal I’ve seen in awhile.
It felt like Christmas morning when I printed my first few sticker sheets, and I have to say it was super relaxing to plan out my week and start planning my month. I don’t have everything filled in yet, because I’m adding things as they come up but I have a feeling this month is going to be a busy one. I snapped these pictures and then went back and added more things to the monthly overview; it doesn’t look that bare anymore.
I didn’t realize that there’s an entire planner community out there; Youtube videos of people decorating their planners every week, Instagram accounts dedicated to planning, the works! I don’t know if I’ll get as serious as them, but I’m having fun so far. What about y’all? Do any of you use a physical planner to keep things organized in your lives? If so, what kind do you use and do you decorate it also or just jot things down? Comment below or tweet me and let me know!
