It’s been a l long time since I’ve done one of these so I thought I’d pop in and give y’all a brief look at what’s going on with me right now.
Wearing my new sunnies that came in Wednesday. I got contacts recently and needed some plain sunglasses to wear with them so I headed to Amazon and snagged these two pairs for less than $20! I love that they’re a bit over-sized and how they framed my face. And they really came in handy this morning after the concert I went to last night.
Reading ‘I’m Judging You’ by Luvvie Ajayi. I’ve been a fan of this woman’s blog for years so I didn’t think twice when it came to ordering her debut book. You know you’ve got a hit on your hands when you have people like Shonda Rhimes (yes, that Shonda Rhimes) singing your praise. I’ve been trying to pace myself, but I’ll definitely be finishing this book this week and re-reading it again soon. I’ve made all kinds of crazy notes, and I truly plan on doing a book review once I do finish it. Do yourself a favor and purchase it. You won’t regret it.
Traveling…well finalizing travel plans for Vegas this fall and Europe this winter. I need to find a RT flight Houston to Vegas for less than $300 that’s not on (steal your) Spirit Airlines. Please tell me that this is possible. Oh, and I need an AirBNB for the two days I’ll be in London. So many options that I need to narrow down. I’ll have a post on that soon.
Drinking hot coffee. Can y’all believe I’ve already made the switch over from iced to hot coffee? I almost can’t believe it myself. I found myself reaching for my regular mug more than once this week in the office and using Coffee Mate’s Crème Brulee creamer. So good!
Baking peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. I could honestly stop right there because those who know me know I don’t bake like that. I actually made these from scratch (read: not ‘break and bake’) and I was really proud of them. They were a hit at the office and I look forward to making them again this weekend.
Loving the iOS 10 update! The iMessage and emoji updates alone were enough to encourage me to update. I also love the fact that we now have widgets. That’s something I truly missed when I made the switch from Android to Apple. One of the things I wish I could change is the resident font, like the one that the lock screen is in. It’s not my favorite. What do y’all think?
So, what have y’all been up to lately? Comment below or tweet me and let me know! Oh, and if you can send me AirBNB recommendations for London.
