If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know that I’m now a pretty confident woman. I have no problem sharing dating mishaps and my experience with my recently implanted IUD. I haven’t always been this way, in fact I’m what people refer to as a late bloomer when it comes to body confidence.
Now I’ve heard a lot of women’s’ horror stories about getting their first visit from “aunt flow” in a classroom, in a bright colored uniform bottom and of course the embarrassment that comes along with it. Well in my opinion, mine was a bit more embarrassing. Like I said, I was a late bloomer so I didn’t get my first visit until my freshman year of high school during marching band practice. It was hot, I was in light blue shorts and a white band shirt and I didn’t even know what was happening until someone pointed it out. I played the flute so our section was mostly girls, and that would’ve been great if we weren’t rehearsing our current show and our sections were mixed in. I was right in front of a tuba player. He wasn’t the one who noticed though, it was the cute trumpet player next to him. Talk about embarrassing! We were pretty close-knit as a band so it was more like a cousin telling me than a schoolmate. I left the field and one of the older girls in my section came with me, giving me all of the supplies I would need for my first time as well as a change of shorts. It’s one thing to get your first visit in front of a few classmates, it’s another to get it in front of a practice with 250+ students and 6 or so directors.
I wish these FreshCare® Flushable Cleansing Cloths had been around back then, they would’ve been a life-saver! I like to feel fresh and clean, especially during those times when my body is getting back at me for not growing a baby in my womb. I found out about these wipes from a co-worker a while back and have used them religiously since then. I keep a travel pack in my purse, I have a refill pack at work and I make sure that I keep a pack in my restroom at home. We use moistened wipes to clean our babies and toddlers, but that notion gets tossed by the wayside when we get older. Well I don’t agree with that.
These cleansing cloths truly live up to their name, leaving you fresh, clean and odorless after using them. I might not menstruate now like I used to before getting my IUD in, but those light days are still made better by using my Cottonelle® FreshCare® Flushable Cleansing Cloths. Oh yeah, did I tell y’all that they were flushable? That was just the icing on the cake to me. No need to worry about tossing them after use, just flush like you would regular toilet paper and go.
The game was changed when I added these to my cleansing routine and if you haven’t tried them I suggest you do. Sam’s Club has a great deal going now, a box of 462 wipes (11 refill packs of 42 wipes) at a price that can’t be beat. You’ll have enough packs to leave on in your car, your office and each restroom of your house. Do yourself a favor and give them a try!
