Last weekend I was on the phone with one of my cousins and we were trying to find something to get into that evening. I feel like I’m past the “let’s go clubbing” phase in my life so that was out of the question. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a good lowkey bar, and I don’t mind going country dancing every now and then, but I’m over the uber packed dance clubs that I used to frequent when I was younger. I knew I had some wine to get rid ofk, but I didn’t want to go to a BYOB restaurant, so I mentioned ‘Painting with a Twist’. There are quite a few businesses like this in the Houston area, but ‘Painting with a Twist’ is my favorite. We chose the Westheimer location and ended up getting Chili’s before to munch on in the class.
Armed with our alcohol and food we entered the class prepared to have fun. We had a hilarious and talented teacher who’s assistant was so nice and helpful.
Our artwork was what I call a night sky in the country. Beautiful reds, yellows and blues with stars and a rolling plain. I don’t claim to be the most talented person when it comes to this kind of art, but I did my best but I had fun. And at ‘Painting with a Twitst’ that’s what counts. If you follow me on Snapchat (andallthatjazie) you might have seen these pictures and some pretty funny videos of us. If you aren’t following me on Snapchat, you should!
Have any of y’all been to one of these painting and wine type places? If so, did you have as much fun as I did?
