I saw a ‘pet peeves’ post floating around the other day and I immediately thought of the list I have in my blog notebook on OneNote. I feel like it’s been there for a while and has just been growing so I wanted to share a few with y’all. Some of these are blog related (and I’ve even been guilty of doing a few) and others are just life in general.
Constantly clicking pens – this drives me wild!! Either you’re going to write the pen or you’re not so decide and leave the pen in that mode.
Popping gum – now this is something I’ve been actually known to do, but when I do it’s completely by accident and I typically apologize. The last few times I’ve done it was at work and the floor was quiet and I unconsciously popped my gum. Embarrassing!
Anyone over the age of 6 sucking their thumb – I don’t think this one needs explanation.
People who walk away mid-sentence – I know someone who just walks away from a conversation if it’s not going their way. It’s rude as all get out and it grinds my gears.
People who ask me for help with their gadgets (especially when I know what I’m doing) and then don’t follow the instructions I give them – Don’t ask if you don’t want my help.
Subtweets and their counterparts on Facebook – I’m sure that person or someone who knows them is following you. Be an adult and call them out.
Reply All emails at work – if you get one by mistake just ignore it, don’t hit ‘Reply All’ and tell everyone you weren’t supposed to get it. I don’t know why that’s such a hard concept for people to understand.
Unnecessary apologies – I’m actually getting better at this, but I used to do this all the time.
Catcalling – Nine times out of ten the delivery is really perverted or I’m not looking for that attention so just don’t. Plus a lot of guys get offended when I don’t respond how they expected.
What are some of y’alls pet peeves? Comment below and let me know!
