I’m 5 weeks away from my first vacation of the year and I’m so excited! I can’t wait to fly out to Mexico for a few days and escape life for a bit. I’m long overdue for a vacation and I’m looking forward to dipping my toes into that beautiful sand, enjoying that water and being spoiled in the all-inclusive resort we’ve booked.
Mexico is my first of a few getaways this year; I’m also going to Canada again, Cozumel this summer, I really want to do New York this fall and I’ll be spending Christmas in London and Paris. I try to only bring a carry-on and a backpack to cut back on costs and to make sure I’m on and off the plane pretty quickly so I’ve learned how to pack up to 7 days of clothing, shoes and necessities in them.
FYI, this isn’t a sponsored post. I just want to share a few of my favorites with y’all.
Luggage – I’ve had this suitcase for a little over a year and I love it! It’s the perfect carry on size and it can hold so much! It expands and can hold so much, plus the four wheels make getting through airports so much easier.
Backpack – I was actually gifted this backpack almost 5 years ago and I love it! I actually use this daily for work, for my laptop and lunch kit, and there are so many compartments for me to store so much in it. Perfect for traveling.
iPad mini – I use this little baby everyday, but it really comes in handy for long flights and for catching up on my blogs and doing some light reading when I’m up before everyone in the mornings.
Portable Charger – I am a gadget girl, but I’m not always near an outlet. Thanks to T-Mobile’s awesome international plan I’m able to have unlimited data and texting just about everywhere I go in the world. I need to be able to jump on Waze or Google Maps to find my way in a new city, take pictures and share them on Instagram and Facebook or Snapchat.
OVO Crewneck or Monogrammed Pullover – I know people who swear by pashminas or scarves on a plane to keep them warm and comfortable, but I prefer a pullover. I have quite a few hoodies and sweatshirts, but I always seem to reach for one of these two. They’re big and comfortable enough for the plane and work well for cold hotel nights. I like to keep the room cold when I sleep so I can bundle up and that usually includes wearing one of these.
Poo-pourri – I found out about this amazing product before my cruise last year and I don’t know how I survived on so many vacations without it. Do yourself a favor and pick up a bottle for your next vacation.
These are just a few of my favorites and I’d love to hear a few of y’alls. Oh! I’m in the market for a new pair of over-the-ear headphones so if you have a favorite pair or brand, let me know!
