One of the great things about this time of year are the holiday parties. Looking at my calendar it seems like I have at least one a week until Christmas and three of them are ugly sweater parties. I was inspired by Erin’s Grinch outfit that she posted a while back and one of co-workers is creating something similar (2 of them actually since I got this pack of black long-sleeved shirts). Now a top like that can’t just be paired with jeans, especially not at the Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl I’m doing with some co-workers. I wanted a festive outfit and decided to get a few more uses out of the tulle skirt that served as part of my Halloween costume this year. I’m sure you all saw my posts of it.
Well I’ve had the tulle skirt in my closet, not sure if I wanted to get rid of it because lets face it when am I going to get to wear a polka-dot tulle mini skirt again. I got the inspiration last week to spruce the skirt up a bit and rock it to a few holiday shindigs.
I have a decent collection of Sharpies and used the polka dots as a guide to help me with the ornaments. U-Verse was doing another one of their free weekends so I turned on ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ and started drawing and coloring these ornaments.
I’m not the best when it comes to print art, but I figured that would be okay with the theme of the parties. It took me almost an hour, but that’s because I was so engrossed in the movie. I’m pretty pleased with the way it turned out and I look forward to sharing my outfits with y’all.
