Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’m sure most of y’all are with your loved ones eating dinner, or waiting for the final touches to be put on the dishes. I just wanted to drop in and share a few things I’m grateful for this year. It’s a little tradition we have in my family, it used to be done during prayer but then that got long so we just go around the dinner table now.
First up, I had my second annual Friendsgiving last weekend and didn’t snap any pictures (I’m such a bad blogger). It was a great turnout and the food was even better! I’m thankful for my loved ones who showed up to celebrate with me.
I’m thankful:
– for my amazing family who’s unconditionally supportive of me and my decisions, even if they don’t understand or agree with them.
– for my friends who are more like family to me. I’m so blessed to have this awesome group of people in my life.
– that I get to wake up with a smile on my face knowing I get to go to working doing something I love, and that my hard work doesn’t go unnoticed
– for my little nuggets and that I get to watch them grow like weeds!
– for this season of single-ness. I get to focus on myself and really figure out what I want in life and a mate. I know this isn’t something people are typically thankful for, but I’ve really grown as a person over this past two years and I know that part of it is due to me being single.
– for the hashtags #thanksgivingwithblackfamilies and #thanksgivingclapback. If you haven’t searched those on Twitter and Instagram do yourself a favor and do it!
