Today’s post is sponsored by NBC, but my love
for The Blacklist & Chicago PD is all my own!
If you’re like me you’re probably at home for the holidays, visiting relatives you see everyday and some you only see a few times a year. We’re all stuffed from yesterday’s turkey dinner (it’s always the sides that do it for me; broccoli cheese casserole and collard greens change lives y’all) and in my family we usually spend the night at our parents’ house, which means that there are more bodies than there are TVs. Between football, video games and movie marathons its hard to get face time with an actual TV. But do you know what there’s plenty of in a house full of people? Laptops and wi-fi!!
NBC’s TV Everywhere has saved my sanity this season! I’m able to catch up on my favorite shows from the comfort of my childhood bed on my laptop and not have to worry about missing something because of someone yelling in the background or grabbing the remote. I love ‘The Blacklist‘ and ‘Chicago PD‘ (I’ve actually posted about my love for these shows before) and my step-mom and I used to watch the ‘Heroes’ all the time so ‘Heroes Reborn‘ is a new favorite of ours.
I’d missed last week’s episode of ‘The Blacklist‘, but I was able to log in with my cable service provider credentials and watch it online! I thought I was doing something special until my sister who “cut the cord” with her provider told me that she was able to login and watch this entire season. At no charge! She’s not able to watch it the day after it airs like I can, but the episodes are available to watch within days.
So much has been going on this season ‘The Blacklist‘, Elizabeth is now on the run with Red (aka Raymond Reddington) and they’re trying to clear her name. Tom’s back and he’s helping out in his own way, and Elizabeth’s old FBI team have been forced to partner with the secret society that’s trying to kill her and Raymond.
Oh, and don’t get me started on ‘Chicago PD‘! Lindsey and Halstead have finally accepted their feelings for each other, Burgess and Ruzek are engaged (his 4th, her first), and desk Sgt. Platt might even be tying the knot soon. Their relationship drama coupled with Atwater getting in good with superior officers, Olinsky dealing with having a love child who he didn’t know about for over 10 years, and we see Roman’s big heart when he volunteers to donate bone marrow for a dying child.
I’m invested in these shows, but I don’t always have the time to watch them when they air on TV so NBC TVE is perfect for me! On crazy shopping days like this I like to avoid the crowds, grab Starbucks and curl up with some of my favorite shows.
What are y’all waiting for? Log on to and catch up on your favorite shows now.
