I love Carol’s Daughter products and this campaign that they’re currently running is so life giving. I’m not sure if y’all have seen images floating around various social media sites like the one I have above, but if you have and you want to participate you can do so here. I especially love Lisa’s (the company’s founder) video.
In it she goes into detail about how she decided on a name for the company. She said that she wanted the name to either affirm a positive in her life or speak something into existence.
“So amongst the things that I was and am was Carol’s daughter, I was also Robert’s daughter, and at the time Hank’s secretary and Gordon’s girlfriend…I picked “Carol’s daughter”. It was the one that felt the best, it was the one that made me smile.”
Her words only encouraged me to participate in the campaign and cemented my decision to share this on my blog today. So here goes nothing:
I am Jazmyn.
Born in Houston.
Made of gumption (amongst other things of course. Someone once told me that I was full of gumption and that really stuck with me; so I decided to use that instead of the traditional “sugar and spice” route)
I am Patrica, Lloyd and Kand’z’s daughter. My mother laid a great foundation and my dad and step-mom helped mold me into the woman I am today.
I am a project coordinator by day and music enthusiast by night.
I am a strong-willed, self-determined and loving Southern gal who will forever fight for those who can’t fight for themselves.
I am a tech geek and not ashamed of it.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made in my savior’s image.
I am imperfectly me.
What about y’all? Head on over to the #BornAndMade and share some things about yourselves, or leave me a comment below!
