I wanted to share a new favorite with y’all today. I love Issa Rae and Jahmela Biggs‘ Youtube series ‘First‘ and I hear this song on one of the most recent episodes. Ashley DuBose has a voice that will make you smile, apparently she was on the Voice too! The song is so mellow and simple, very catchy and it might be one of my summer anthems.
Sidenote: If you haven’t checked out ‘First‘, you should. The episodes are short, the actors are great and so is the storyline. I was randomly re-watching some old episodes of ‘Graceland‘ on Netflix and saw one of Nikki from ‘First‘ on there. It’s a good show and it has introduced me to a few new artists and beautiful songs.
