Summer has officially started and I figured that now’s probably the best time for me to set some goals to accomplish this summer. I have a few more things that I want to tick off my bucket list this summer, but here are 5 things I definitely want to focus on.
Read 3 leisure books: I’ve really slacked off with my reading this past few months, and I need that to change. I’m not sure if it’s because I haven’t really found a story that sucks me in anymore or what, but I want to finish at least 3 books this summer. I’m a fast reader and can probably get through a book a week if I commit to it (sometimes even 2 a week) so this should be an easy goal to accomplish.
Focus more on my health: I know I’ve written posts about loving my body and loving myself, but now I’m understanding that I need to love myself enough to change a few things. I need to get healthier and that starts this summer. I bought a fitness tracker recently and have held off on reviewing it so I could actually test it out, and I must say that I’m loving it! I’ll post more about it later this week, but I will tell y’all this, it’s a steal and does a great job!
Swim more: I guess this ties in with the previous goal…kinda. I love to swim and have a gorgeous pool right outside of my apartment and I haven’t really taken advantage of it lately. Yeah, the weather’s been touch-and-go recently, but I will try to swim at least once a week (weather permitting).
Take one day a week to myself: Another one that ties into my health, I’m on a roll y’all! I’m a social butterfly but this butterfly needs her time to recharge. This means that I’m saying “no” and not giving an explanation on days that I don’t want to be social.
Learn new recipes: Another one that kinda ties into my health goal! I want to do Weight Watchers again (counting calories really isn’t my thing) and as a result I want to start cooking more for myself. I posted a few of my favorite slow cooker recipes last week and I found a bunch more that are “point friendly”. I plan on trying out a bunch this summer.
