Christmas is two days away!!! Well it’s technically 3, but it’s only 2 more sleeps!! I usually post earlier in the day but I had a really busy day today and didn’t get around to getting on this thing until now.
I got to spend some time with friends this weekend before people headed home for the holidays. I also got to celebrate one of my best friends’ birthday and welcomed another nephew!!
On Saturday I went to the movies with Marc and Jasmine to see ‘Top Five’. That movie was HILARIOUS!!! It had all of my favorite comedians in there, Jerry Seinfeld even lost his wallet at a strip club! I cackled during that scene. This is a movie that I definitely see myself watching again…once it hits Netflix. The original plan was to go to the movies really relaxed, but then Jasmine upped the ante and we both did full faces of makeup to go with our boots, leggings and pullovers. I wish we would’ve gotten a full body picture of the both of us, but these will have to do.
We ended up going to a bar after the movies and having quite a few drinks and some delicious bar food. Beer battered chicken tenders and a community Angry Balls never tasted so good.
Sunday was a double whammy. My youngest sister gave birth to my new nephew and sent us all pictures! She had to give birth in San Marcos since that’s where she’s been at school for majority of her pregnancy and that’s where her OB is. I’m sad I wasn’t there, but she made it all better by sending us a few pictures.
My new little nugget, Isiah. Yes, I now I have two nephews with that name. Isiah is his first name and it’s Ke’Mahr’s (Moke) middle name. I guess you can now say that it’s a family name.
We also celebrated Meg’s birthday on Sunday with dinner at this swanky restaurant in Rice Village, Prego. Drinks were flowing, laughter was shared and memories were made. Here’s the birthday girl and her big sis.
All in all it was a pretty great weekend. I’m looking forward to the holidays coming up and spending them with my family, then ringing in the new year with friends. What about y’all?
