Last week NBC aired a Sing-Off special and I didn’t get a chance to watch it live so I recorded it and watched it this weekend. They managed to do an entire competition in one night…at least air it one night…and it was so good! I was always impressed with that show and that talented groups that have been on it. Shoot, Pentatonix is now Grammy nominated!! Last year they managed to cram an entire season into a week and they beat that record. All of the groups were great, but the one that won the competition also won my heart. They were the first collegiate group to ever win and they’re the Melodores from Vanderbilt University.
Their performances gave me chills! Their signature song was “Trumpets” by Jason Derulo and their take on it was too cute!
They mixed genres and had fun with it, and won their spot in the semi-finals. They were given the song “Take me to Church” by Hozier for their final song and killed it! Like it gave me chills.
