Shows Lost In 2014 - Jaz Daigle

I was on Buzzfeed the other day when I saw this post about 85 shows we lost this year. Before clicking it I thought it was going to be about 85 new shows that didn’t make the cut, but after reading it I found out I was wrong. There were some shows on the list that I’d never heard or never really go into, but there were a few that I will truly miss.

Almost Human – This show didn’t even make it a whole season. I felt like it was an interesting concept, kind of like a cross between iRobot and Terminator. Plus, Michael Ealy has the most beautiful eyes! I’ll actually miss this show.

Black Box – I had high hopes for this show initially. I started off watching it every week, and then just sort of trickled off. I guess everyone else did too.

The Boondocks – This show only had 4 seasons! I don’t know why I thought it had more. It was funny, kind of like the Simpsons but didn’t have the fanatic backing. To this day my favorite episode is the Usher one.

The Carrie Diaries – I feel like this show was just getting it’s footing when it was cancelled; I actually liked it. At least it ended on a good note.

Crisis – I WAS PISSED WHEN THIS SHOW WAS CANCELLED! I loved this show! It had a great premise and was actually flowing really well. There were a few moments of predictability, but for the most part it was good! I figured that it wouldn’t be more than a season long, but I was hoping that it would at least last an entire season.

Dracula – I really wanted to like this show. I actually gave it a good chance too, but I could never get behind it like that. I’m not surprised to see it go.

Drop Dead Diva – This was such a good show, and the ending did it justice. Jane & Grayson 4eva!

Gang Related – This was another show I was sad to see go. It had potential! Towards the end it felt like they knew it wasn’t going to last because they tied up all the loose strings in like 2 episodes!

How I Met Your Mother – I was uber late to this show, but I’m glad I came in when I did. I was able to binge watch entire seasons and watch the last one live. Great show.

Manhattan Love Story – This was a cute and quirky love story that could’ve at least gone on two seasons. I mainly watched it because Evan from ‘Greek’ was on it. Oh! Apparently those two are dating in real life now.

Mind Games – I liked this show! I didn’t think I’d get as invested in it as much as I did, but I was definitely sad to see it go.

Revolution – This was another show I’d been following for awhile and was sad to see go. They got the friggin’ power back on. We could’ve gotten another season!

Rush – USA did a good job with show, I actually binge watched the short season over a weekend and was looking forward to another season when I found out that it had been cancelled.

Selfie – I don’t know why I like this show so much, but I do. I’m happy that they’re still releasing episodes on Hulu.

Apparently I’ll only be missing 15 shows now that they’ve been cancelled, that’s nothing compared to the 85 Buzzfeed posted. I will say this, Hulu and my DVR made watching a lot of these shows possible. Gotta love lazy weekends! What shows will you be missing now that they’re gone? Any plans to watch them if Netflix picks them up?
