I had a really busy weekend and I want to break it down over a few posts. I just feel like the baby shower and Friendsgiving deserve their own posts, but I will give an overview of them today.
I spent Friday evening with my girl Millican (we have the same first name, so we get called by our last names when we’re out together) and we saw Mockingjay Part 1, but not before getting some retail therapy in. We stopped by Torrid and took advantage of the great BOGO 50% off sale they had going on. I picked up the cutest dress, open cardigan, skinny jeans (that FIT me in the waist), studded leggings, and even a reversible black and brown leather belt without breaking the bank!
I loved this outfit so much that I’m wearing it today with tights and flats. You know I have to keep it work appropriate.
Mockingjay was so good! It’s my favorite so far in the movie series, but I felt like they could’ve gone farther in the book than they did. They didn’t end it when I thought they would. This just means that it will be nothing but waterworks when I watch the final film. Millican and I had originally planned on going out for drinks after the movie, but we were so exhausted from the day that we just grabbed Whataburger and headed back to my house to hang out with Marc a bit before he left town for the holiday.
Saturday was a rainy day, but we still had a great time at the baby shower for my cousin Tasha. Tavaria hosted and planned the whole thing and she did an AMAZING job. I’ll have another post on this later this week.
Sunday was my Friendsgiving, and I feel like it was a success! Everyone brought a dish and I got the cutest ornaments! We watched the game, ate, decorated my tree and had a few adult beverages while enjoying each others’ company.
I’ll post more on this later this week as well. All in all I’m happy that this is a short week. I’m going to use these extra days off to rest and prepare myself for Justin’s concert next Monday!! What did y’all get into this past weekend? Anything fun?
