It’s Friday and once again I can’t believe how fast this week has gone by! I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend at home. I have plans for dinner with some friends tomorrow evening, but for the most part I will be home cleaning and relaxing at mi casa. So you guys know the drill, here are five things that are on my mind today:
1. Ricky Manning’s cover of “Wrecking Ball” for the The Voice’s knockout round this week.
I usually watch these clips instead of watching entire episodes, and while watching clips today during lunch I came across this one. I loved his cover!!
2. Target Cartwheel App.
I have a love/hate relationship with this app. Today was one of the latter. I found an unlit 6ft Christmas on the site for $30, but I have to go pick it up in store because they didn’t have anymore available to be shipped. Well guess what pops up in my inbox shortly after I purchase the tree:
You have got to be kidding me!! Do y’all think they’ll honor this discount when I go pick it up in store tomorrow? I hope so.
3. Midterm Election.
And that’s all I have to say about that.
4. Friendsgiving.
I had to cover my address
My first holiday shindig is two weeks away and I’m both excited and nervous. This wouldn’t be my first party at my own place, but it would be the first time I hosted a holiday there. I sent out invites on Monday evening and asked everyone to bring a dish and an ornament (one they think best represents me) and we’re going to pig out and trim my tree. Killing two birds with one stone!!
5. I texted my ex last night.
I don’t even know where to begin with this. Just know that there was alcohol, some digging through my inbox and like 5 minutes spent trying to come up with the perfect message that didn’t make me seem like the clingy ex-girlfriend. Needless to say, he didn’t respond. Maybe it’s for the better.
So, what are y’all getting into this weekend? Anything fun and interesting? The weather is supposed to be beautiful here in Houston, nice and cool and I plan on enjoying tomorrow and Sunday morning out on my patio with a mug of coffee and my iPad or Kindle.
