I was told a long time ago to do what makes me happy and the money/resources/etc will follow. I’ve been taking that to heart and it’s definitely made my life better. How else could I explain flourishing in a career that’s not even close to what I finished my degree in? I don’t think this just applies to a career though, I think if we as a people did more of what was life-giving for us we’d be in a better place. It’s okay to say ‘no’ to someone; that’s a lesson I had to learn the hard way. It’s okay to have a lazy weekend with snacks and Netflix. If you want to binge watch an entire season of OITNB go for it! Like Sheryl Crow said, if it makes you happy it can’t be that bad…
