Where has this week gone?! I can’t believe it’s already Friday, and that it’s already time for another holiday. Holidays mean early dismissal around here so I’ll be heading home at 1pm today instead of my usual 4:30, but I wanted to share a few thoughts before I left.
1. I’m kind of obsessed with fonts. – This is actually nothing new to me, but every few months I go on a “new fonts” binge and troll Pinterest and other blogs for some cute fonts to add to my collection. I’d just use them for posts or fun stuff at work before, but PicMonkey now allows you to use your own fonts and I’m going crazy doing that. This is one of the Font Boards on Pinterest I’m following.
2. I should’ve switched over to an iPhone sooner. – I treated myself to an iPhone 5s and an iPad mini for my birthday and I’m kicking myself for not making the switch sooner. There are a few things I miss about my Galaxy SIII, like swype and having a bigger keyboard, but for the most part I love how seamless the Apple iOS is. My Android tablet was starting to lag, but that’s not an issue with this iPad. I drank the Kool-Aid, y’all!
3. I’m going on a cruise this December!! – One of my cousins asked me a week ago if I’d be interested in going on a cruise with her for her birthday in December and of course I said yes! It’s a short one, but that’s okay. I look forward to sharing this experience with her and getting away for a bit.
4. I don’t have that many plans this weekend and that’s okay. – There are usually a million things to do over a 3 day holiday weekend in my family, but I decided to opt-out on most of them. I plan on going to my youngest god-sister’s birthday party at my parents’ on Sunday and possibly a fish fry on Monday, but other than that this is going to be a pretty chill weekend for me.
5. Today would’ve been Michael Jackson’s 55th birthday. – Say what you want about the man, but he was talented and will always be the King of Pop. Happy 55th birthday Kang Miko, I hope you’re moon walking wherever you are!

PicMonkey allowing you to use your own fonts was one of the best things ever.
