Today I’m going to take you guys on a tour of my city.
Not only was I lucky enough to grow up in the greatest state in this nation, but I was lucky enough be raised in the greatest city in the state.
I got to grow up surrounded by beautiful sights like these:
The skyline downtown
Sam Houston Monument
Williams Water Wall
Mecom Fountain
Monument Au Fantome
RIP Astroworld
…and one of the best roller coasters in the park in my opinion.
The world renowned Texas Medical Center
The 8th wonder of the world, The Astrodome. This was the first domed arena built in the nation and is still standing though it hasn’t been used for any kind of sports events in years.
Reliant Stadium was built next to the Astrodome and is now used for sporting events, concerts, graduations, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and various other things.
My high school alma mater, Mirabeau B. Lamar High School
My college alma mater, the University of Houston-Downtown
And just because we’re awesome here are a few of my favorite people who were either born here or are employed by this great city.
