Today’s prompt encourages us to write about something we’ve done that was a bit out of our comfort zone this year. I had to sit and think about this one for a little while. I’m not shy, I typically go after things I want so my comfort zone isn’t that small. One thing that stuck out to me was the giveaway I hosted earlier this year. If you follow my blog, or even just look at the pictures I have on here and my socialmedia sites you can see that I wear glasses. I wore contacts during high school and the first half of undergrad, but I stopped when I forgot to take them out…for over 2 weeks. Thank God the contacts I wore were the O2 breathable ones and didn’t damage my eyes, but I knew then that I was going to have to give glasses another try.
I found out that you could order glasses online way cheaper than what it costs to get a pair at my local optometrist. Like hundreds cheaper! I’m not sure if you can tell this by all the pictures I post with me in various pairs, but I love my collection of glasses. I figured that I might as well wear pairs that I like since I have to wear them anyway and it seems like overnight my collection grew from one pair to over 15 pairs! Glasses are so cute. Sometimes I wish I could rock them. Darn my decent eye sight. There was a time when I was working at a bank, staring at a computer screen all day, and then going home and reading all night. My eyes would get blurry and I started getting headaches. So I went to the eye doctor and he perscribed me some reading glasses! It was like a dream come true, they were so cute! But then I changed jobs, and my eye sight got better. Those glasses are still sitting pretty in their box. Sad day.
Omg there are pairs that look just like ray ban pairs. I love the tortoise clubmasters.
