I wasn’t sure how I should approach this prompt so I decided to go with something I love: music.
Here’s a list of my top ten guilty pleasure R&B songs.
1. Usher – You Make Me Wanna
This song came out when I was younger and I had NO clue what I was singing about. It wasn’t until much later that I realized that he was talking about leaving his current girlfriend for the best friend who set them up. Shady!!!
2. LSG – My body
This is another song that came out when I was younger and I shouldn’t have been singing. There’s no way people are talking about who risque music is now when this track was popular in the mid-90’s.
3. Soul for Real – Candy Rain
This song reminds me of an old playground game we use to play as kids. Very bubblegum R&B.
4. Toni Tony Tone – Anniversary
“Victoria will be no secret at the end of the day, it’s our anniversary.”
5. Mary J. Blige – Seven Days
The ultimate “I slept with my best friend now what am I supposed to do” song.
6. Mariah Carey – Fantasy
ODB.
7. R. Kelly – You Remind Me of Something
Your vehicle? That’s what I remind you of? Nice.
8. Shai – If I Ever Fall in Love
Another one of those “I slept with my best friend” type songs. It’s best heard a capella.
9. Blackstreet – No Diggity
It’s such a guilty pleasure song that it was covered in ‘Pitch Perfect’.
10. Dru Hill – I Should Be
Gotta love songs that give you step-by-step directions.

I can think of a few songs I liked when I was younger that were definitely NOT age-appropriate! 😛 I think we all can!
