I haven’t done one of these in what feels like forever! This weekend wasn’t too eventful, but there were a few highlights and I did want to share some pictures of my apartment and show you guys how things are coming along as far as home decor.
First!! DID YOU GUYS SEE THE ‘TRAILER’ FOR JAY-Z AND BEYONCE’S CONCERT? If you didn’t, check it out below and give yourself like 5 minutes afterwards to recover.
Coming never?! I can’t wait to see this on the jumbo-tron at Minute Maid when I see them in July.
I’ve decided that teal is going to be the color that ties my apartment together. Here are a few ‘in progress’ pics:
My dad being a silly billy! He came by and helped me put my desk together. My cousin and I put the chair together last weekend.
Another one of my cousins helped me with putting the vinyl on my accent wall in the dining area/office space (since that’s what I’m using it as) and now I’m on the hunt for a good round mirror to hang on that wall. I’m also debating on whether I want an area rug to separate that space from the living room. Decisions, decisions!
I hung out with my cousin Ari and her fiance for a bit on Saturday night, we picked up dinner from Smashburger and grabbed a few Redbox movies. I finally saw ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ and I must say that I see what all the hype was about. The movie was really good!
I decided to try the breakfast smoothie recipe I saw on Bon’s blog on Sunday and I must say that I’m impressed! I made on yesterday and again today, and I think I’ll keep that as my breakfast routine in the mornings!
My new Tervis is just big enough to hold my smoothie!
I caught most of the Billboard Music Awards last night and I’m not sure how I feel about it all.
Michael’s hologram performance was amazing! I feel like people fell into two groups when it came to it though, either you really loved it or it creeped you out.
I think that Ariana did a great job performing her new single live, I love her voice. John Legend also did an amazing job…but then again when does he not? I didn’t expect him to do “You & I”, but I almost cried when he did. I LOVE THAT SONG! Especially this performance:
But back to the #BBMAs. I don’t like Robin Thicke’s new song, it’s a bit much, and I honestly expected way more from Miranda & Carrie on that duet. Jason Derulo had a good performance, as did OneRepublic and I’m beyond excited that Justin Timberlake walked away with 7 of the 11 awards he was nominated for!
I laughed so hard when Justin gave his final ‘thank you’ speech and thanked everyone in the world…except Donald Sterling. I love that man!
I would’ve called it a night then, but then I saw a tweet from Kid Fury & Crissles telling everyone to tune into ‘Watch What Happens Live’ with Andy and I saw these two on my screen.
I’m so proud of these two!!!
What did y’all get into this weekend? Comment below and let me know.

I love your accent wall! That is such a great color, nice and bright, but not obnoxious.
