When I was in elementary and middle school I had a binder full of lyrics, probably more than one binder. This was before the time of smartphones and DSL internet so you had to have your lyrics printed out because you couldn’t just pull out your iPhone or Galaxy S3 and look up the lyrics to a new song.
There are some days that I miss that binder of lyrics, especially when I hear a new song and have to do a double take when it comes to hearing what the artist said. Sometimes (a lot actually) I just plain out get the lyrics wrong, and I’m not afraid to sing them wrong and strong. I favored “reputable” sites like AZ lyrics before I knew that regular people like me were the ones who submitted the lyrics and proudly toted around my binder full of at least 100 songs.
I wanted to do something different with this week’s ‘Tuneage Tuesday’ and list my favorite songs to sing wrong and strong.

My version makes way more sense! How are you gonna fit soul in your pocket, sir?!

what everyone thought Alicia was saying – “In New York, concrete jungle wet dream tomato”
I’m gonna need her to enunciate!

actual lyric – “…the seeds I sown, they brought no harvest”
my version – Honestly, I don’t even remember what I thought the lyrics were. I just know that I mentioned Matt in the tweet with the wrong lyrics and he sent me me the sweetest DM letting me know what the actual lyrics were and thanking me for supporting him. I love that man!
