I actually meant to post this yesterday, but better late than never right?
Actually he’s one of the reasons why I can’t wait for summer. I have my annual trip to Toronto for OVO Fest and this year’s line-up is crazy.
Yes, you read that correctly. Outkast is slated to perform on the first day of the festival! I’ve never seen them live and I look forward to doing that! And it doesn’t hurt that I’ll get to see a few of my favorites.
Summertime also means I don’t have to be subjected to this incredibly long and incredibly cold (for Houston at least) winter we’ve been having. Gone are the days of having to bundle up because it’s 30 degrees outside when our winters don’t usually dip below 50 degrees. Summertime means I get to wear light dresses and slacks to work and maxi dresses and skirts on the weekend.
Summertime means I can sit out on my new porch (which just so happens to have an amazing view of our pool) and drink coffee while reading on Saturday mornings.
Summertime = protective styling for my hair. I love swimming and box braids are the easiest to maintain so I’ll probably get some more once it starts getting warmer. Be on the lookout for more pictures like these:
Summertime means sitting out at Miller Outdoor theater and enjoy a play or even a concert in the park for free. I can’t wait to feel that sun on my face.

And last but not least, summertime = my birthday season. I’m turning 26 this year and I’m looking forward to it. So many good things have happened this past year and I can’t wait to see what the big 2-6 will bring.
