I’ve written before about how I plan on being the best me that I can be this year, and one way of doing that is holding myself accountable. There are days that I want to blog, that I want to sit down and spill out everything, but it seems like I end up staring at a blinking cursor. I know that I created this blog to share things about myself and my life, but I don’t want to overshare. I struggle with that when it comes to this space and I end up deciding not to post as often as I would like because of that. Well, I’m going to make a conscience decision to change that. Even if I’m just posting with a link-up I want to post at least 3 times a week. This means that there might be more scheduled posts to fit in with my work and travel schedule, more posts about how my thesis is aging me 10 years, and more posts about how excited I am to go to London in March. One of the easiest ways to help me complete that goal of posting at least 3 times a week is this lovely link-up I’m participating in today.
I’ve seen this link-up floating around on some of my favorite blogs and I just realized today that “hey, I can do that!” No real rules, just 5 random things on my mind on Friday? Easy peasy! So here goes:
I love it being treated and rewarded by people outside of my company for the work that I do. A ‘thank you’ cup of Starbucks goes really far with me. I’m really easy to please and it really lets me know that I’m appreciated by our vendors and clients when they randomly stop by with goodies or treat us to lunch.
The 8AM service at church is something I’ve slept on…literally. For years I never went to the 8AM service at church for numerous reasons, well that all changed this past Sunday and I think I’m going to keep going to that service. It’s not as busy as other services (if that makes sense) and I really get the chance to take in the message and worship. Plus, I’m out by 9:45 at the latest! Plenty of time to get another cup of coffee and have a real breakfast. I have my entire day left after that!
I just found a clothing brand that I think I’m in love with now. Wallflower Jeans. I’m not sure if y’all have heard of them, I didn’t until I came across these pants on Amazon and couldn’t resist buying them…especially for only $13. I originally bought the navy pair, then when they came in and I loved them I ordered them in eggplant. I’m actually wearing the eggplant ones today! I also ordered a pair of skinny jeans from there and they fit like a glove. Being a plus size girl it gets hard finding pants, especially jeans that are flattering so it’s always nice to find a brand that makes quality work and actually caters to the plus size ladies along with the smaller sizes. They’re prices can’t be beat and I love that I get them on Amazon and get free 2-day shipping!
The Read Live is TOMORROW! I’m beyond excited about going to this!! I’ve been looking forward to it since they announced it and it wasn’t until then that I realized how many people I know that actually listen to the podcast. I look forward to seeing some familiar faces tomorrow and catching up.
How did I not know about the Target Cartwheel app before now?! I guess I’ve just been ignoring that little banner when it would pop up on my Facebook app, but this thing is a life saver!! I’ll definitely be using it the next time I go to Target.

Hi! I'm stopping by from the link up! Good luck on your blogging goal this year. I feel the same way about oversharing & I have found that the link ups help me stay involved and figure out what I feel comfortable sharing! I'm glad that you found the Cartwheel app…it is AMAZING! I save so much with it (which is probably doing more damage than good…oh well).
