Last week had a lot of highs and lows. Seeing Justin twice (back to back at that) was definitely a high!
I bought my tickets for Houston on when they went on TN Kids presale back in May and waited a few weeks before buying my Dallas ticket and I still scored a great seat! I booked my hotel the day I bought my Dallas ticket, and rebooked it last week when I found a better deal. I waited a beat before paying for my flights to and from Dallas and was able to use Southwest points so that I only had to come out of pocket $70 for both tickets.
Let’s just say that there wasn’t much that would keep me from seeing Justin this month. When I bought my Dallas ticket I was dating my ex and he agreed to accompany me to Dallas, not the show, but our breakup didn’t deter me from making the trip by myself. I ended up meeting up with one of my good friends who’s a nurse at Parkland and we got to catch up before she dropped me off at the show. She’d tried to get tickets a few months ago, but by then the rest had been sold to scalpers and they wanted like $300 for the tickets I’d only paid $90 for. That’s just crazy.
I ended up going to the show solo, but that’s okay because I met some really sweet people there and danced my behind off and sang myself hoarse a bit.
My view in Dallas. I was right behind VIP 2
Timbaland came to the show!
This lovely lady also rolled solo to the show so we danced the night away!!
The sea of cameras pointed at Justin during the beginning of the show.
So just in case you couldn’t tell from the pictures the stage moved back by the VIP section and I lost my mind!!! I wasn’t expecting that at all!! My friend Melissa has been to quite a few of the shows this tour and she neglected to tell me that the stage moves!!! Ah!!! Justin definitely had a blast in Dallas, he kept saying Southern-isms and even “Deep in the Heart of Texas”….the whole song (with audience help of course). He didn’t do the whole song in Houston.
It took me like 45 minutes of standing downtown and the help of a group of ladies to get a cab back to my hotel the night of the Dallas show and the next morning I was headed back home for the show here.
For some reason I didn’t take as many pictures at this show…I think I was just too busy trying to get Justin’s attention and dancing my behind off again. What can I say, the man puts on a great show!
My view for the Houston show. I was right on the side of the stage.
Oh hi, Justin!
The horn section was hamming it up!! Loved them!
I was able to get a few videos too; not full songs mostly snippets but check ’em out.
Overall I had a blast and it was definitely worth the seven year wait.
