Last night (after I’d fallen asleep) Beyonce dropped her 5thstudio album. Self-titled and 14 tracks long, the woman crashed iTunes for a bit because that many people were downloading it at once. Remember, this is no promotions, no single just an announcement on her Facebook and Instagram accounts, but that’s all it took.
I woke up this morning to hundreds of tweets, IG posts and Facebook statuses about it and immediately got to downloading. The woman is a genius, a musical and business genius. She released a video for every song plus 3 more! 31 items in total for $15.99 exclusive to iTunes for the next week.
I was kind of upset that it wouldn’t be immediately available on Spotify, but then I remembered that I can play songs in my library on there as well.
Let’s just say that I have been getting my life at work for the past 2 hours and 45 minutes.
I don’t know if Whit is a psychic or just has powers of premonition, but I know she just posted about being the Beyonce of your blog on Weds and now Bey drops her new album. Maybe she reads Whit’s blog?
