This weekend didn’t start off as eventful as it ended up being. I was texting a friend Friday and actually told him that I’d probably use the weekend to work on my thesis…well that didn’t happen. Let me tell y’all what I did instead.
This weekend I…
…went to the movies twice. I went and saw ‘The Butler’ (finally) early Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed it. I’ll definitely be buying that movie when it comes to DVD.
…picked up a few accessories for Charming Charlie. Since we went to Studio Movie Grill in City Centre to see ‘The Butler’ we swung into the Charming Charlie next door. I picked up the cutest watch, 2 scarves and a few stackable bracelets!
…picked up a few new bottles of polish. I needed some more colors for the Fall…or at least that’s how I’m justifying it to myself. I even used one of the colors for my mani this week.

…went to the movies again Saturday night. My cousin straightened her hair and we’d talked about going dancing, but I didn’t feel like it. I think we were apart of the very few who didn’t watch the fight that night. Instead we went and saw ‘Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters’ in 3D. That was the first time I sat through an entire movie in 3D (they usually give me headaches). I really enjoyed it and I hope they continue the series.
…purchased the only thing I wanted from the Phillip Lim collection at Target.

…straightened my hair!! I haven’t done that in over a year, but was inspired to do so after I saw my cousin’s last night. I love the heat protectant she used and bought some when I went to Target. What do you think?
I watched the Texans vs Titans game while I did my hair and I’m so proud of my boys pulling through in OT like that…especially after Schaub was screwing up royally in the 4th quarter. I think we all know what this means, Houstonians…
