I don’t know about you guys but I’ve been excited about this collection since they announced it. I’ve had a reminder on my phone and even had 2 separate alarms set. One for just after midnight just in case it went live on the website (which I later found out it did) and one for 7AM so that I could be at Target for 8AM.
I had a plan. There are so many Targets in the Houston area, but I knew I had to find one that a lot of people wouldn’t frequent…at least at 8AM on a Sunday. Pearland.
I actually got there for 8:15 and thought that I’d missed out, especially when I saw one woman with 4 purses in her basket at the display. I really only wanted one thing, a large pashli tote. I knew that it had to be mine after I saw this preview of the bags from the line:
It’s perfect for work or just in general and I didn’t have the $900 or so to shell out for a bag from his other line.
As I predicted there was plenty to choose from when I got to Target and was even able to grab the taupe version of the tote. I put both in my basket and walked around for a bit trying to figure out which one I wanted to buy. The black is such a classic bag, but the taupe one is pretty too.
I even instagrammed my basket and asked which one I should get.
I ended up going with the black one since it’s sold out online and if I really want a taupe one I’ll just wait until they come back in stock online. I did a bit more shopping and grabbed a bottle of wine to reward myself for my success…I couldn’t buy it though. Stores aren’t allowed to sell alcohol before noon on Sundays in Texas. Let’s just say at that moment I wished I was in Louisiana.
Either way I got my bag and I can’t wait to carry it tomorrow! Did any of you buy anything from the collection? If so I hope you got what you wanted! I searched the #PhillipLimForTarget hashtag on Instagram and saw a lot of people waiting in lines and even saw a few tweets about stores only allowing a few people in at a time. I’m so happy it wasn’t like that at my store.
