Well I just wanted to let y’all know what’s been going on with me lately. I feel like I post more on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter more than I do on this lovely space and I really need to change that.
According to the news and a million other posts throughout the blogosphere Fall has officially started. We got a brief glimpse of that on Monday, and after that the weather in Houston went back to it’s previously scheduled programming.
I didn’t wash my hair this past weekend so it was still kind of straight, but I didn’t feel like running the flat iron over it again so I put some cute curls in it. I flat twisted it and rolled the ends and came up with this pretty number on Monday:
That God it wasn’t as humid that day, my curls lasted all day!
I looked so cute for my date that night!! I had so much fun, y’all. We went out for coffee (what I typically do for a first date after having a Skype session of course) and ended having such a good time together that we grabbed dinner. I didn’t get home until about 9:30 and was floating on cloud 9 when I did! We scheduled another date for Monday when I get back from my trip and even had another Skype date last night!
*swoons*
Monday was just full of all kinds of good things, I got my warranty replacement phone (a whole ‘nother story in itself) in and my Influenster box came in as well!
I can’t wait to use these goodies this weekend while I’m on vacation.
I tried to repeat my curly hair on Tuesday but the rain we had wasn’t having any of that. Ugh! We were officially back to our warm weather. Gotta love Houston.
I’m not sure if I mentioned it on here, but I’m heading off to Philly & New York this weekend for another mini vacation. I’m going to visit my friend Blake in Philly and we’re heading to New York for a day trip on Saturday for shopping, Southern Hospitality and oh yeah the GLOBAL CITIZENS FESTIVAL!!
I’m BEYOND excited to see Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, John Mayer and the Kings of Leon live!!! Get ready for that post next week.
I’m hoping for cooler weather while up north and if so I know the new riding boots I ordered will come in handy. I pulled the trigger and placed the order on Saturday for these bad boys and a pair of black tuxedo skinny pants and saved $70! Gotta love Lane Bryant and their Real Women Dollars!

I recently got into boots because I have such big calves, and this is my first pair of knee highs. I love them!!
I tried them on when they came in and haven’t taken them off. I figured I could use today to break them in. They’ll be perfect for this fall and winter season and they look and feel sturdy enough to last me a few more falls and winters!
Wow, I didn’t think I’d been up to much this past week, but after writing this post I guess I have. I’m off to the east coast tomorrow afternoon so I’ll see y’all next week!!
