Happy Labor Day everyone! I’m sitting in bed writing this and thinking about going back to sleep. My body didn’t get the memo that today’s a holiday and I’ve been up since 4:20AM. Ugh! I don’t even get up that early on regular work days, come on body!
Sidenot: 3 cents for a stamp? Sheesh! Can we go back to that? I just picked up a half book of stamps on Friday when I stopped by the post office to pick up my package from Lane Bryant and it was $4.80 for 10 stamps. My how times have changed.
Anywho! I’ve actually gotten a few things done in these few hours I’ve been awake. I read another chapter or two in City of Lost Souls (Mortal Instruments Book 5) and I’m this.close to finishing the series (so far). It’s taken me a few months to get through these 5 books but I wanted to make sure that I at least read the first one before the movie came out. I did and I just kept reading. I want to see how this plays out for everyone.
I also ordered a new Kindle and case for it. I’ve had my current Kindle since 2010 and we’ve had a good run. Let’s take a trip down memory lane, shall we?
Thanks to the holiday my new Kindle and case should be in on Thursday, I’m having it shipped to my office. I ended up buying the Kindle 3 with wi-fi.
I just couldn’t give up the keyboard. I could’ve just downloaded the Kindle app on my Galaxy Tab 2, but its not the same. I prefer the e-ink and I like having my books separate from my Tab. I also ordered another pink case for it.
I don’t have many plans today, I’ll probably do some more reading, finish up these last 7 episodes of ‘Breaking Bad’ on Netflix before I start watching the episodes I DVR’d. I’m almost completely caught up! I’m also going to wash my hair in a bit. I took down my braids yesterday and put a deep conditioner on my hair. I slept on it last night, and as long as I have my hair washed and rolled before noon it should be dry by morning.
