Do any of y’all watch this show? If you haven’t (and you don’t cringe at the sight of someone being murdered) you should check this show out. The CJ nerd in me loves crime dramas and this show supercedes most of them out now.
Kevin Bacon stars as a benched FBI agent Ryan Hardy who’s now on disability after completing the biggest take down of his career. He was able to catch serial killer Joe Carroll, think Ted Bundy but with a British accent and a PhD. He brought down the madman, but it came with a cost. Hardy now was pulled from the field after Carroll punctured his left ventricular artery forcing him to have to wear a pacemaker for the rest of his life. Well flash forward like 10 years and Joe now has a “following” (hence the title of the show) who are doing his bidding for him. This man was in federal prison communicating with members of his cult for about 5 years and now these people are raising hell in Hardy’s life and those who have wronged Carroll.
I’m like 4 episodes in and I’m hooked! Thank God for Hulu+ and their few commercials. This show is intense y’all. Like I said, I love crime dramas but there have been times that I have had to mute the TV (or if I was on my lunch break take off my headphones) and just read the captions. I don’t know how Fox managed to get away with all this blood shed, but they are and there’s plenty of it each episode.
I don’t want to spoil too much, but I recommend this show to all of y’all…well those of you who don’t have weak stomaches. It airs Monday nights on Fox, and if you can’t catch it then there’s always Hulu.
OMGeeeee – hubs and I both are hooked!! I love it…..we record it if we aren't home and then watch it a soon as we can. It nevers ceases to make me shake my head. In fact, last Monday-I need to watch again – I think I missed something !!
