This weekend I…
…went to sleep early enough on Friday that I was up at 6:45AM on Saturday. Yes, you read that correctly. I couldn’t believe it myself. I was so mad at my body for that.
…met up with my friend Morgan for breakfast at Barnaby’s. I’ve eaten there numerous times and never realized that they put strawberries on their french toast, I’ve never ordered it there before, so when my plate came out and I saw the strawberries on the top two pieces of french toast I told them that I was allergic and the guy said that they’d take it back and make me some more. NOT TWO MINUTES LATER another server comes out with a plate of french toast without the strawberries but with the indentions still on there. THEY SERIOUSLY THOUGHT I COULDN’T TELL THE DIFFERENCE!! I ended up giving the pieces that I know touched the strawberries to Morgan, but I was so mad. I bet they wouldn’t have been too happy if I would’ve went into anaphylatic shock in the restaurant. But I digress
…went and got some mani-pedis with Meg & Morgan. I bought 2 Groupons a few weeks back that Chuck and I were supposed to use on his birthday, but that fell through so I treated Meg. It was a great experience, none of my nails have peeled or chipped yet (knocks on wood) and I will definitely go back there. The spa is nice and very welcoming and very sterile. That’s a big plus in my book.
…went to my favorite Pappasito’s in town and enjoyed my last margarita until after Lent.
…made my weekly to Target and scored the cutest flats! They were having their BOGO half off sale on shoes and I scooped up these two pairs of shoes and my lunch for the week.
I also restocked up on some essentials, my favorite facial wash and my Mist & Set by ELF.
…went to the uber crowded Dessert Gallery with Meg and had some rich hot chocolate and split a slice of their “Aunt Etta’s” chocolate cake or for those of you who’ve seen Matilda, I like to refer to it as the Matilda cake. You know the one Mrs. Trunchbull made the boy eat in front of the entire school? The multi-layered chocolate deliciousness? Yeah, that one. That’s gonna be Chuck’s groom’s cake…shush, don’t tell him though, it’s a surprise.
…bought my favorite Girl Scout cookies from my favorite Girl Scout. I live for these things, y’all!
…spent Sunday doing laundry and waiting for the Grammy’s. I’m not sure if y’all were following my shenangans on Instagram & Twitter, but I’m going to rehash that night tomorrow for Tuneage Tuesday.
What did y’all do this weekend?
