I’m not sure if y’all knew about the concert Justin Timberlake put on last night in New Orleans, but he did.
AXSLive was supposed to air it, or so they said but that didn’t happen. I, along with quite a few other people were counting on that and stayed up watching them run clips of everything but Justin performing for almost 2 1/2 hours. It wasn’t until around 11:30PM that they played a snippet of Justin doing the first song, “Like I Love You”…after he was already 4 songs in!!!
That’s when I took to twitter and searched @AXSLive and confirmed what I was thinking. They never intended to show his concert. I don’t even think they had permission to!!! What kind of false advertisement is that?!
I’d never heard of the station until yesterday and that’s when I found out that it’s not a station that’s included in the standard package of channels. We have it as a free preview for the month, and honestly I’m happy we don’t pay for it. I think it’s a waste of money.
This is what I was looking forward to seeing last night on TV, what I had to wait this morning to see when I checked the blogs and saw it on KillerHipHop.
Justin brought out Jay-Z for the first ever live performance of “Suit & Tie”:
And he also played two new tracks:
“Little Pusher Love Girl”
and “That Girl”
I’m not sure how I feel about “Little Pusher Love Girl”, I’m gonna need to hear the studio version of that track to make that decision, but I love “That Girl”. I’m hoping that that’s his next single.
What do y’all think? Did you stay up for the show? Did you go out to New Orleans to see it live?
