I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t really looking forward to the Grammy’s this year until I found out that Justin Timberlake was performing. It was going to be a date night for me, but all that changed when it was announced that Justin would be gracing the Grammy stage for the first time in 5 years.
We hadn’t seen this lovely mug on that stage in 5 years people!!
I actually tuned in and watched just about all of it. I wanted to do a recap post yesterday, but I felt like it would’ve gotten lost in the sea of everyone else’s so I held off for today and I’m ready to start from the top.
Taylor Swift:
This scared me. I didn’t expect much from her performance, she’s not too good live, but this just scared me. I wish she would’ve done “I knew you were trouble”
LL Cool J:
Fire your stylist…and get one who’s not so color blind! These are two different whites! And seriously, who does white tuxes anymore?
Beyonce:
I loved you for this pant suit. You weren’t there to perform and dressed as such. Classy.
Shout out to 3rd Ward, TX!!!
Miranda:
I love that she’s a girl and not afraid to show it. Love the curves and the matching mic and earbuds. Luke’s must not have worked because he was off key! Sheesh!!
Adele:
I get that you wanted to step away from your normal all black get up, but this couture piece was not for you. Another stylist needs to be told to gave a seat in the corner.
It doesn’t matter, she won another award for a song that was released 2 years ago.
Mumford & Sons:
They won an award and one member thanked Jay-Z to which he responded
Jay was on that brown liquour that night. Loved it!!
He might have been intoxicated, but the man still has pull because when he won his award for “No Church in the Wild” and got on stage they stopped the cue music when he stepped to the mic…to say “I would like to thank the swap meet for his hat”.
Kelly:
Got drunk and said she didn’t know who Miguel was, but that what he did was sexy and that she wanted to sing with him. I don’t blame her, his part of the song was amazing. Wiz? Not so much.
Plus, all those stripes and chevron (shocking!) weren’t doing it for me that night.
Kelly still brought the house down with her performance.

Adam and Alicia:
I thought this would be more of a mash-up, but I liked the end of the performance. I’m also happy they changed the key on GOF, Alicia might’ve written the song and composed it but that key isn’t great for her live.
Justin:
I don’t even know where to begin. I was screaming and hollering the entire peformance. Welcome back!! Please don’t ever leave us again.

Rihanna actually looked decent at the awards show…and then I saw her with Chris. I have no words.
