What do you miss most about being a kid?
Not having a single care in the world other than what I’m getting for Christmas or my grades in school. Now life’s full of all kinds of responsibilities, but I’m grateful that my parents allowed me to be a kid and enjoy my childhood.
Did you have a nickname growing up? What was it?
Everyone called me “Jaz” or “Jazzie” or “Jazzie Wazzie” growing up. I still hear “Jaz” & “Jazzie” to this day.
What was your favorite thing to do at recess?
Judge me not, but I love to read. I was that kid that was sitting at a table reading a book at recess or just sitting in the classroom and doing that. When I did go outside I liked to swing.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I used to tell people that I wanted to be the female version of Bill Gates. I’ve always loved computers, I’ve been on them since I was 4, and when I was younger I didn’t know what all Bill Gates did but I knew that he worked with computers and that he loved his job. That dream has changed a bit, but my love for computers and technology hasn’t.
What was your favorite toy?
My collection of books. I told y’all, I love to read.
What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you of?
I got into a scuffle when I was younger because a little girl who lived in my aunt’s old apartment complex didn’t like my hair; I honestly believe that it was jealousy. I didn’t want to fight her and went and got my sister and cousins to stand up for me. I got in trouble for not standing up for myself and learned from that moment that I would get spanked when I fought (only if I started it) and if I didn’t defend myself when it came to a fight.
Any special childhood memories for y’all?

I once got in a fight with a bunch of girls because I wanted to use to reading benches to sit down and read, while they wanted to put their lunch boxes there so they weren't on the ground. Of course it wasn't too crazy of a fight, and the teacher sided with me (since the benches were for sitting not storage), so I definitely understand the reading answer.
