I can’t believe that this is my first time linking up Heather @ Blonde…Undercover Blonde on this. I’ve been seeing this all over the blogosphere and have been meaning to link up. I’m an avid reader, and have been since I was like four. I was that child who was in her room reading when everyone else was outside playing. My kindle has made it easier for me to finish a book during my daily commute to and from work and school, and I’m definitely grateful for that.
I started reading this series ages ago, this is the 16th one in it, and as usual James Patterson didn’t let me down.
Here’s the synopsis:
Detective Alex Cross is pulled out of a family celebration and given the awful news that a beloved relative has been found brutally murdered. Alex vows to hunt down the killer, and soon learns that she was mixed up in one of Washington’s wildest scenes. And she was not this killer’s only victim.
You can’t hide
The hunt for her murderer leads Alex and his girlfriend, Detective Brianna Stone, to a place where every fantasy is possible, if you have the credentials to get in. Alex and Bree are soon facing down some very important, very protected, very dangerous people in levels of society where only one thing is certain–they will do anything to keep their secrets safe.

Alex Cross is your only hope to stay alive

My thoughts:
Like I said, Mr. Patterson didn’t disappoint me with this book. There were just enough twists and turns with the suspect that kept me on my toes, but not too many that I wanted to give up on the book. Patterson often has perps come after Alex’s family, but this time it was a different member, one we haven’t heard about in awhile. I think that the lack of a relationship he had with this relative helped drive his investigation and fuel him to avenge their death.

I love James Patterson. His books are usually easy to read and hard to put down! I'll have to keep this one in mind next time I swing by the library!

I love James Patterson and the Alex Cross series! Have you read any John Sanford and his Alex Delaware series? Very similar and awesome story lines!

Yes! This one and the two after it 🙂

No, I haven't heard of that series but I will definitely check it out. Thanks for the suggestion, Sar!

I think I've heard of this one or maybe saw a trailer on tv one night. I've never read any of his books. I should pick one up and see what I'm missing (:
