Does it sound weird that this week has gone by both fast and slow for me?
The days have gone by slow, but this week is going by pretty quickly.
I hope that made sense to y’all since it made a lot of sense in my head.

It’s Thursday, and we all know what that means!!
It’s okay…
…that I stayed up last night like it wasn’t the middle of the week and that I didn’t have to go to work this morning.
…that I have the best boyfriend ever. I was telling him about how I’m going to reward myself with a new pair of glasses for every 20lbs I lose, and he said that he’d match my reward by buying me 5 bottles of nail polish, any brand. I already have my list ready!
…that I’m kind of bummed that my dad had to cancel our ‘Daddy/Daughter’ date this weekend. I haven’t got to hang out with him in weeks.
…that I want to go see ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ with Chuck. He still hasn’t seen it and I wouldn’t mind seeing it again.
…that I’m loving this cooler weather we’ve been having these past couple of days.
…that I plan on spending the weekend in maxi skirts and dresses. Take that rain!!
…that I’m using a piece of cardstock between pages on my legal pads because I like to write with Sharpie pens.
…that as much as I knocked the tax free weekend I was glad to pick up my food for the week and office/school supplies tax free.
…that I’m at the end of my rope with negative people at my job. Why must you complain about everything and be so “woe is me”?
…that my damage on my phone bill from my Toronto trip is only $23.
…that I’m recruiting Chuck (AKA picking his brain) for a few assignments this semester.
…that my wine is only 1 point an ounce!!
…that we had cake and ice cream today at work in celebration of August birthdays. Y’all know I got some!
…that me explaining why I took a nap during my lunch break led to a rumor about me being married while getting said cake and ice cream.
It’s NOT OKAY that I’m already in the market for a new iPod speaker dock. My Memorex one’s been dying on me for a while, and I’m pretty sure it finally gave out when my little brother took it out of my room.
Any suggestions?

It is so nice that you seem to have a great relationship with your dad even if you haven't spent any quality time with him for weeks.
I wish I had a better relationship with my dad. I grew up with him but I cannot say that we are close.
